We prepare either three or four separate meals each visit, with each meal containing four to six servings based on your preference.
We can set you on a regular schedule every week, every 2 weeks, or every 4 weeks depending on what works for you. Most families schedule us weekly. The most common choice for couples is every other week. Single households typically go every 2 or 4 weeks. If you're flexible on the day of the week we come, we even have an every 3 week option if that works best for you.
We label all freshly-prepared meals "use or freeze by" within four days of your visit. Most of our meals are freezer-friendly and can go from freezer to microwave while still tasting delicious (the meals...please don't eat the containers). You can also let a frozen meal thaw overnight in your refrigerator and enjoy the next day!
To save you time, our entire menu is microwave-friendly without sacrificing quality or flavor. If you prefer, containers are oven-friendly (just not the lids!).
We supply you with a set of reusable glass containers that are dishwasher-safe, freezer-friendly, microwave-friendly, and oven-friendly. We charge $120-$180 for the containers on your initial visit and they are yours to keep.
No! All we need from you is a functional stovetop, oven/range, sufficient counter space for food prep, and a sink. We bring and use professional cookware, utensils, etc. along with glass storage containers that will be yours to keep.
No! We shop for all your ingredients the morning of your visit. Our chefs carry a full tote of spices, oils, and vinegars and these items are "on the house."
We will leave any leftover ingredients in your refrigerator or pantry. Because we send a preview of your shopping list each week, you can notify us if we don't need to buy a repeat ingredient or staple product (milk, eggs, butter) you have on hand.
Absolutely! Our menu offers plentiful options for gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, Paleo/Keto-friendly, heart-healthy, and organic diets. Our menu also has dairy-free, nut-free, soy-free, egg-free, sesame-free, and shellfish-free allergen filters (with lots of choices for each!). Let us know your needs upfront and we will customize your meals as needed!
Yes! While our menu is designed to accomodate almost everyone, just let us know when you order if you would like an item adjusted. For example, our owner Mike hates peas, so we know to never put peas in something he is going to eat!
Ages 5+ typically love our food and we plan to offer simple ingredient options for those even younger soon.
For recurring clients, we make every effort to pair you with a specific chef!
No, we just need access to your kitchen. We certainly don't mind if you are home though!
We typically complete meal preparation and cleanup within a 4-hour window. Most chefs have a morning client and an afternoon client each day.
Containers are dishwasher-safe. Simply wash them between visits and store them in the provided tote until your next visit.
Our pricing includes the chef's time and service to shop for and prepare your meals. You will cover the cost of groceries (no markup), which we itemize and send with your receipt. There is a one-time cost ($120) on your first visit for your set of reusable glass containers.
Tipping is completely optional. If you choose to do so, 5-10% of our service price (excluding grocery costs) is absolutely sufficient!
Yes! Book a 15 minute conversation with us and let us know how we can help.
We can work in most of the St Louis metro area, including St Louis City/County, St Charles County, Jefferson County, and the Metro East from Edwardsville to Waterloo.
Absolutely not! We expect to amaze you on your first visit and do have all customers on some type of recurring schedule (weekly, every other week, every 4 weeks). We do this so that you have continuity with your chef and to guarantee your spot on the schedule each visit.
